{"id":4416,"date":"2014-03-17T21:46:20","date_gmt":"2014-03-17T21:46:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kibo.energy\/?p=4416"},"modified":"2014-06-19T06:19:01","modified_gmt":"2014-06-19T06:19:01","slug":"technical-report-confirms-haneti-nickel-pgm-and-lithium-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kibo.energy\/index.php\/technical-report-confirms-haneti-nickel-pgm-and-lithium-target\/","title":{"rendered":"Technical Report Confirms Haneti Nickel, PGM and Lithium Target"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kibo Mining plc (\u201cKibo\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d) the Tanzania focussed mineral exploration and development company is\u00a0 pleased\u00a0 to\u00a0 announce\u00a0 it\u00a0 has identified a\u00a0 30km\u00a0 strike of nickel-platinum\u00a0 prospectivity\u00a0 at\u00a0 Haneti following receipt of a comprehensive technical report covering full historical exploration and technical data from the Haneti project. <!--more-->The technical report, prepared by Mzuri Exploration Services (\u201cMXS\u201d) (\u201cThe Report\u201d),the Company\u2019s exploration\u00a0 service\u00a0 provider\u00a0 in\u00a0 Tanzania, includes\u00a0 the\u00a0 full\u00a0 data\u00a0 and\u00a0 conclusions drawn from the 2013 exploration programme and provides a detailed assessment and recommendations for steps to be taken to confirm the nature and extent of mineralisation identified on the company\u2019s 100% owned Haneti project.<\/p>\n<h5>Highlights:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>30km strike of nickel-Platinum Group Metal (\u201cPGM\u201d) prospectivity identified at Haneti<\/li>\n<li>High priority nickel and PGM targets at Mwaka and Mihanza Hill confirmed<\/li>\n<li>Potential\u00a0 of\u00a0 project\u00a0 to\u00a0 host lithium pegmatite\u00a0 mineralisation (lithium and\u00a0 associated\u00a0 elements\u00a0 such\u00a0 as niobium and tantalum) to be further investigated<\/li>\n<li>Based on this technical report the company is now able to focus future activities on key tenements highly prospective for target mineralisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>The Report contains the following key data and recommendations:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Multi-element results from legacy and recent soil and rock geochemical surveys over the central 30 km strike of the Nickel-PGM prospective Haneti Itiso Ultramafic Complex (\u201cHIUC\u201d) have been integrated to\u00a0 produce\u00a0 geochemical\u00a0 plots\u00a0 that\u00a0 point\u00a0 towards\u00a0 areas\u00a0 for\u00a0 follow\u00a0 up\u00a0 trenching\/pitting,\u00a0 ground geophysics and drilling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Two target areas at Mwaka and Mihanza hills are recommended for initial drilling during 2014 based on a combination of anomalous soil and rock geochemistry, ground geophysics and favourable geology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced statistical\u00a0 analyses and\u00a0 interpretation\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 multi-element\u00a0 geochemical\u00a0 database\u00a0 by\u00a0 an independent expert\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 geochemistry\u00a0 of weathered nickel\u00a0 sulphide bearing\u00a0 ultramafic terranes are being undertaken to guide future field activities on the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Detailed aerial aeromagnetic,\u00a0 radiometric and gravity data from a recently flown Government survey in the region and covering Haneti, when made available later this year, will supplement the Company\u2019s existing information database and technical understanding of the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A rationalisation and consolidation plan for the project tenements is being formulated in order to focus resources\u00a0 on\u00a0 the\u00a0 key\u00a0 gold\u00a0 prospective\u00a0 (Londoni-Hombolo-Mosangani\u00a0 )\u00a0 and\u00a0 the\u00a0 nickel-PGM prospective (HIUC ) trends based on the results of the 2013 regional mapping programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A desktop\u00a0 study\u00a0 is\u00a0 recommended\u00a0 to\u00a0 assess\u00a0 the\u00a0 potential\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 project to\u00a0 host\u00a0 economic\u00a0 lithium pegmatite\u00a0 mineralisation\u00a0 (lithium and\u00a0 associated elements\u00a0 such\u00a0 as niobium\u00a0 and\u00a0 tantalum) based on initial anomalous rock grab sampling results from lithium pegmatites identified on the project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Download full report:<\/h5>\n<p>[ott_teaser btn_text=&#8221;Download&#8221;
