{"id":5155,"date":"2015-02-26T09:02:46","date_gmt":"2015-02-26T09:02:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kibo.energy\/?p=5155"},"modified":"2015-02-26T09:02:46","modified_gmt":"2015-02-26T09:02:46","slug":"uranium-joint-venture-commences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kibo.energy\/index.php\/uranium-joint-venture-commences\/","title":{"rendered":"Uranium Joint Venture Commences"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>Dated: 26 February 2015<\/h5>\n<p>On 21 November 2014, AIM listed exploration and development company Kibo Mining Plc (\u201cKibo\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d)(AIM: KIBO; JSE AltX: KBO)announced that it had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (\u201cMOU\u201d) with Metal Tiger Plc (\u201cMetal Tiger\u201d) regarding a 50\/50 Joint Venture (\u201cJV\u201d) on Kibo&#8217;s uranium-prospective tenements in Tanzania (\u201cPinewood Portfolio\u201d) wholly owned by Kibo&#8217;s 100% owned subsidiary company, Kibo Uranium Ltd (\u201cKB Uranium\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Highlights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Joint Venture Activities have commenced with first funds paid.<\/li>\n<li>Metal Tiger holds 50% interest in \u00a0the Pinewood Portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Portfolio consists of 43 licences, offers, applications and tenders with a combined surface area of approximately 9,033 square kilometre in Tanzania<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kibo Mining is pleased to announce that it has now commenced activities under the JV with Metal Tiger. Metal Tiger has transferred the first tranche of funds to cater for the ongoing licence fees and maintenance costs and Metal Tiger has been issued with new ordinary shares in KB Uranium such that it now holds 50% of KB Uranium representing a 50% stake in the\u00a0 joint venture on \u00a0the Pinewood Portfolio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kibo\u2019s CEO, Louis Coetzee, commented<\/strong>: <em>\u201cKibo Mining is pleased to confirm the commencement of Joint Venture activities with Metal Tiger in respect of the Pinewood Uranium Portfolio.\u00a0 Pinewood is highly prospective for Uranium and the key to unlocking the value in the project holds is to move it into active operational status.
